Integration of Microsoft Dynamics with other systems

Today's businesses often use multiple specialized applications to support their operations. In a dynamic and complex business environment, it becomes critical to seamlessly integrate these systems to ensure efficiency, data integrity and process automation.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (formerly Dynamics AX) works well as a central platform for integrating different areas of a company's operations. In order for the ERP system to effectively exchange data with other applications, it is necessary to create dedicated integration interfaces. Thanks to them, it is possible to adapt the system to the specific requirements of the organization and ensure communication between different IT environments.

It is worth noting that some of the challenges specific to older versions of Dynamics AX have been solved in newer versions of Dynamics 365, which offer advanced integration functionalities.

  • Integrations with courier companies such as: Raben, GLS, FedEx, DSV, and Geodis
  • Integration with courier companies' Webservice to send shipments, track their status, retrieve shipping labels and documents, and transfer transport documentation, including the carriage of dangerous goods (ADR).

3. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Interface with the external Logifact WMS Essentia system, enabling, among other things, the registration of employee shift changes, monitoring of material consumption for production, blocking the use of materials not included in the bill of materials, recording of production waste, reporting of finished goods, generating printouts and shipping labels, and conducting quality control.
  • Integration with the external STOSY system, automating the picking of goods for shipment by processing data from an external application. This includes information on picked goods, their warehouse dimensions, and shipment tracking.
  • Integration with the high-bay warehouse management system class WMS Qguar from Quantum (packaged software)
  • Interface with the WMS system from HIT Barcode
  • Integration with the client’s proprietary warehouse management solution (WMS – SEMP – Pallet Location Recording System)

4. MES systems

  • Integration with the external Scada system, involving communication with industrial automation devices to retrieve information about consumed raw materials and produced goods
  • Integration with the external SCHELLING HPO system, involving the export of production order data
  • Integration with the external LEAbox system, involving the automation of the process of creating production orders imported from the external LEA system along with BOM and routing
  • Integration with the external Gema and Logopack system, involving the automation of production orders
  • Interfaces to devices such as laboratory scales and barcode printers

5. Transportation Management Systems" (TMS)

  • Integration with TMS Genetix including the transfer of sales order data, route planning in the TMS system, and the return of data to the AX2012 system. It enables automatic creation of shipments and loads in the system, as well as the execution of goods dispatch from warehouses.
  • Integration with Transporeon in the area responsible for procurement management
  • Loading and unloading optimization with Optilo
